  • Dr. Jarcelynn Hart

    Acting Principal

    As your acting principal, I am thrilled to help launch yet another school year! I am a recent retiree with an incredible passion for public education. When I was a young girl, I aspired to be a teacher, and my first students were my baby dolls and stuffed animals. After 41 years, I look back on my career as a special education teacher, primary grades teacher, assistant principal, principal, adjunct professor and associate superintendent. Proudly, doing what’s best for children has always been my driver. Today, it’s all about the Washington-Reid Preschool family and how together we will Build Bigger and Better!

    Acting Assistant Principal

    It is my privilege to be serving as your acting assistant principal for the start of the 2026-2027 school year! I retired from PWCS after serving as Principal at Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary School for 12 years. I’ve also held the roles of assistant principal, professional school counselor, and teacher. I have a deep passion for children and a strong desire to support families. I look forward to partnering with the staff and families at Washington-Reid Preschool to Build Bigger and Better!
