Meet our Admin Team

I am honored and excited to introduce myself as the new principal of Washington-Reid Preschool Center. Throughout my career, I have been passionate about early childhood education, and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to join a school community that is dedicated to helping young learners grow, explore, and build a love of learning.

For more than three decades, my work has focused on preschool programs and supporting young children during their earliest years of learning. Most recently, I served as a learning community director with Indianapolis Public Schools, where I worked closely with school teams to support students, families, and staff. I have also led district preschool initiatives and served as principal of several preschool centers and elementary schools in the Indianapolis area, experiences that deepened my belief that strong early learning opportunities can have a lasting impact on a child's future.

What excites me most about Washington-Reid is its commitment to providing a nurturing, inclusive environment where every child is encouraged to learn, grow, and thrive. I believe that meaningful partnerships between families and schools are essential to student success, and I look forward to building relationships with the students, families, and staff who make this community so special.

I look forward to meeting each of you in the weeks ahead, learning about the traditions and strengths of Washington-Reid, and working together to ensure every child has an exceptional start to their educational journey. Thank you for welcoming me into your school community.

It is my privilege to be serving as your acting assistant principal for the start of the 2026-2027 school year! I retired from PWCS after serving as Principal at Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary School for 12 years. I’ve also held the roles of assistant principal, professional school counselor, and teacher. I have a deep passion for children and a strong desire to support families. I look forward to partnering with the staff and families at Washington-Reid Preschool to Build Bigger and Better!
