Virginia Preschool Initiative (VPI) program children are accepted according to enrollment criteria followed by the Preschool Programs department to ensure that children with the highest need receive priority. Students who receive services from our Special Education program have demonstrated a delay in their development. These students are first evaluated by the PWCS Child Find office to identify the areas of delay. An Individualized Education Program (IEP) is developed to determine the appropriate program for each child and to identify educational goals to address the identified delay.
