These activities are to engage your child with you for a FUN way of addressing expressive language development (use of sounds and words), receptive language development (imitating movements and following directions), and social skills (engaging in joint attention.)

Row, Row, Row Your Boat
(Sit on the floor with your child facing you, use a see saw motion back and forth as you sing the verses.  After doing the song for several days pause and see if your
child will fill in key words or sounds such as a roar, or a squeak or the name of the animal.

Row, row, row your boat gently down the stream

Merrily, merrily, merrily life is but a dream.

Row, row, row your boat gently down the stream

If you see an alligator you may hear me scream!

Row, row, row your boat gently down the shore

If you see a lion you may hear him roar!

Row, row, row your boat gently down the creek

If you see a mouse don’t forget to squeak!

Row, row, row your boat gently in the bath

If you see a spider don’t forget to laugh!

Row, row, row your boat gently to the cave

If you see a bear don’t forget to wave.
